Win the club with software. Keep the processing for years.

NightLedger is the operating layer for the club the POS can't run — the dancer economy, the door, and the money. The software wins the venue; the payment-processing residual underneath it is the annuity. Below is the model, the traction, and a live calculator to run the numbers yourself.

01 / The opening

A proven market with a dead incumbent.

~2,000–4,000 U.S. gentlemen's clubs (before nightclubs and bars) ran their entertainer operations on Club Traxx for two decades — now abandonware, dead site, ancient Windows. The demand is proven; the main competitor is a corpse. Modern POS (Clover, SmartTab) handle drinks but have nothing for the dancer economy, the door, or operational cash — so clubs run all of it on paper, spreadsheets, and 20-year-old software. Revenue leaks, staff steals, and deduction records double as lawsuit evidence.

02 / The business model

Software is the wedge. Processing is the prize.

Every club pays for the software. The real money is the processing residual on the dancer-economy card volume — a flat ~5% fee across the board, which is what SmartTab already charges this exact market.

The moat: the software isn't really the product — it's what makes the payment processing un-leaveable. Normally a merchant switches rails for a tenth of a percent. But once this runs their payouts and their whole floor at 3am, they can't leave without ripping out the system their business depends on. We win the club with software and keep the residual for years.

Model is illustrative — actual numbers depend on clubs closed, their card volume, and the buy rate on the high-risk MID. The calculator lets you flex all three.

03 / Traction

A warm champion at one of the largest clubs in the country.

First target: Sapphire (Las Vegas + NYC) — multi-location, multi-jurisdiction from day one. Their GM, Tommy Van, described this product unprompted:

"Clover is useless… it doesn't keep track of entertainers. If you could merge Clover and Clubtraxx that would be ideal. But I think Clubtraxx still runs on like Windows 95." — Tommy Van, GM, Sapphire

The product is literally his sentence. And the old Club Traxx technician is now Sapphire's in-house IT guy — meaning the incumbent's live system and the club's setup data sit with a stakeholder we bring in as an ally, not a threat.

04 / Where it honestly stands

Convincing prototype — not yet a proven product.

Straight, because it matters: what's clickable today is real UI on sample data. The foundation under it is real code. The engine that makes every dollar provably correct is the work ahead.

✓ Built & tested

Full data model + security foundation — encryption, tamper-proof audit, logins, roles. Real code, passing tests.

◐ Prototype

All 9 screens. Real look and feel, sample data, faked logic in the browser. Not yet wired to the live system.
